Web Design
Working on the appearance and layout of the website and building it for you.
Domain Name
Every website needs a place on the internet and the domain name is its address. Every domain name needs to be registered and renewed each year to keep the website active and we do this on your behalf (or if you prefer to do it yourself that's fine too).
Web hosting & Maintenance
Website hosting is the place where all the software and computer files for your website live. When someone types in your website address (or domain name) into a browser, the hosting computer sends back all the information needed to show the website on their phone, laptop or tablet.
In addition to providing the hosting for you, we also look after the technical maintenance of the site which includes :
- At least once a month logging into your website and updating the software and check everything is working properly
- Making sure a copy of the website is taken overnight just in case we need to recover it for you
- Basically looking after the technical aspects of running the site for you.
Mobile-friendly
With over half of all website views done on a mobile phone, it's vital your new website looks great on any device (PC, tablet or phone). All our websites are mobile-friendly meaning they automatically adjust the way they look based on the size of screen people are viewing them on.
Search Engine Optimised (SEO)
Google (and other search engines) need to know how to find your website. SEO is all about making sure each page is set up to increase its chances of being found for different search questions (e.g. "where can I get a starter website built?").
Secure (with SSL Certificate)
A secure website is one where information passed to and from it is encrypted, which means other people can't see what's being sent.
An SSL certificate on a website shows that a website is secure. One easy way to tell if a website has this is that it will have a padlock symbol at the top left of the browser window.
This gives visitors to the website peace of mind that their information is safe.
Professional Stock Images
Websites look better with pictures on them. Not all businesses have photos or images they can use and we have access to a library of photos we can use on your website. To use an image on a site you need to have a license and we include this as part of the website package.
